Terms of service

Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of this website and customers of Howel Pty Ltd. By accessing or using our site, or by purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Howel Pty Ltd is an Australian company that designs and sells premium dog towels and pet-related accessories. We operate primarily online and may also sell through other platforms such as Amazon or physical markets.

Our Impact Pledge ❤️

Luxury should never be wasteful. It should be lasting and meaningful. We contribute a percentage of profits to shelters’ neutering programs and to vets who care for pets of people experiencing homelessness. By choosing Howel, you are helping to:

  • Fund vet care for pets of people experiencing homelessness.
  • Support neutering services to reduce stray suffering.
  • Keep quality towels out of landfill and into paws that need them (refer to section 5, Re-Home Initiative, below).

After our first year of launch, we will publish an annual Impact Update summarising donations and placements. If you re-homed a Howel towel, we would love to know about it. Please get in touch, share your story and a photo, or even better, a video with us on any of our social channels, or by sending us an email, orders@howel.com.au.

2. Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. Once your order is confirmed, we will send you an email with the order details.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise. We accept payment via the methods shown at checkout. Prices may change without notice, but confirmed orders will not be affected.

4. Shipping

We deliver across Australia and to selected international locations. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but may vary. Risk in the goods passes to you once delivery has been made to the address provided, including where you have given authority to leave. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or other charges that may apply, and delivery times may be affected by customs clearance.

5. Returns Policy and Re-home Initiative

Returns Policy (the enforceable bit)

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If an item is faulty or damaged, email us at orders@howel.com.au within 72 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue and packaging. We will assess your claim and may provide a refund or replacement. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.

If you change your mind, you may request a return or exchange within 14 days of delivery. Change-of-mind returns are at your own expense. To be eligible, towels must be unopened and in their original sealed packaging. For hygiene reasons, towels that have been opened or removed from their sealed packaging cannot be returned unless they are faulty. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

The fastest way to exchange is to return the original item (once approved) and place a new order. To initiate a return, contact us at orders@howel.com.au. Approved returns will receive authorisation, instructions and a return address. Please do not send items until your return is approved.

This policy applies in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which always take priority.

Re-Home Initiative (the optional bit)

Because luxury should not be wasteful, we encourage our customers to give their Howel towels a second life. While not a condition of return, our re-home initiative offers a way to do good for pets and their people:

  • Re-home it yourself by donating to a local animal shelter, gifting to a homeless pet owner, or passing it to another dog parent.
  • Send it back to us and we will donate to shelters or vets supporting pets of people experiencing homelessness.

If you choose to send a towel back to us, please ensure it has been washed and dried (cold wash, no softener, fully air- or tumble-dried). Towels with strong odours, stains or contamination may not be accepted for donation.

6. Product Information

We take care to ensure that descriptions, images and other content on our site are accurate. However, colours and textures may vary depending on your device and screen settings.

Please note that all towel dimensions are approximate, and a tolerance of up to 10% in size is considered acceptable due to the nature of textile production. This allowance does not affect the quality or performance of the product.
